Introducing Q+Art: Our Upcoming Interview Series Highlights the Art and Artists of Asheville
Beginning in April, ArtsvilleUSA hosts Q+Art, a new interview series designed to showcase the incredible depth and breadth of creativity in Asheville, N.C.
Have you ever seen a gorgeous glass vase and wanted to meet the person behind the craft? While buying art is easier than ever in the e-commerce age, filling a shelf or wall with pieces that tell a personal story is no small feat. This year, ArtsvilleUSA proudly launches two interrelated programs designed to bridge the gap between artists and art lovers of every stripe and feather.
Beginning in April 2024, ArtsvilleUSA hosts a new series of artist interviews highlighting the incredible depth and breadth of creativity in Asheville, N.C. The series, Q+Art, was created in partnership with sister organization NOT REAL ART under our parent non-profit, Arterial. Designed to give art lovers and prospective buyers a peek behind the canvas and into the maker’s magic, the Q+Art interviews rank among the most popular features on NOT REAL ART, a Los Angeles-based organization that empowers artists through education, journalism, and funding. Now, Q+Art will come directly to ArtsvilleUSA subscribers once monthly. Learn more about the Q+Art series on NOT REAL ART here.
The upcoming Asheville Q+Art interviews support a recent venture between ArtsvilleUSA and Art Connections to expand arts tourism in Asheville. Founded in 2013 by Sherry Masters, Art Connections offers customized tours to groups or individuals who want to experience the thriving arts scene in and around Asheville. This year, ArtsvilleUSA and Art Connections present Glass +1, an exclusive studio tour experience inspired by the Biltmore Estate’s upcoming Dale Chihuly exhibition in Asheville.
Glass +1 participants will experience Asheville from an insider’s POV, visiting two local studios where they can meet the artists and see the fascinating processes behind their favorite works of art. For art lovers who want to learn more about Asheville artists before visiting, catch our upcoming Q+Art interview series, which explores the stories behind the artists included on the Glass +1 studio tours. Q+Art debuts in April and runs once per month until the end of the year, so mark your calendars for this exciting new series dedicated to Asheville’s incredible artists.
